Courtney was born in Ft. Worth, Texas where by the age of two her passion for music had already made family and friends take notice. “Boot Scootin\' Boogie” becomes a favorite and one she would entertain many to over and over again. Courtney joined the children\'s choir at church when she was four, began performing at different festivals in her local area at age six and had won her first talent contest at age eight. By then her family had relocated to Georgetown, Texas. She began honing her skills as an artist by performing throughout Texas and Oklahoma at various venues that featured local artists and national acts.
Over the past few years Courtney has been very busy with her career, here are but a few highlights since age eleven:
- Courtney records her first studio album by age eleven. Christian Artists “By The Tree” joined forces with members from Tim McGraw\'s band “The Dance Hall Doctors” to provide the instrumental tracks in what would amount to a labor of love for the aspiring artist. The vocals for the project where recorded at famed RoseWood Studios where another young prodigy had once begun her climb to Country Music Stardom. The album, an independent project, was titled “From The Heart”.
- Performed at Brentwood Baptist Church in Brentwood Tennessee with Dove Award winner David Hamilton accompanying on piano.
- Invited to perform the inaugural National Anthem at Pizza Hut Park, home of MLS team FC Dallas. The event was televised on Direct TV.
*Advanced to the State Finals in the “Colgate Country Showdown”. The Showdown is the Nation’s largest and longest-running Country music talent search. - Invited to sing the National Anthem on two separate occasions for the NBA/Dallas Mavericks.
- Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry invites Courtney to the Governor’s Mansion to take part in Septemberfest, an annual event at the Mansion.
- KLTY 94.9 airs Courtney’s rendition of “All I Want For Christmas Is You”.
- Invited to perform at the “Neiman Marcus Adolphus Children’s Parade” along with “Avalon”.
- Films a Public Service Announcement with country music legend Larry Gatlin.
- Invited to participate in the homecoming festivities of the U.S.S. Eisenhower. The carrier returned to port in Norfolk, VA after the longest deployment in recent years. An impromptu performance on 97.3 The Eagle left the crowd and listeners of the Jimmy Ray and Jen morning show begging for more.
- Feed The Children” invites Courtney to perform on their yearly television series. The other guest stars included Randy Travis, Aaron Neville, Jaci Velasquez and Manhem Steamroller. The show aired nation wide on major cable networks during the holiday season.
- The “Daystar Television Network” invites Courtney to take part in their yearly Christmas Special "Celebration." The network aired two of Courtney’s Christmas performances worldwide.
- KVIL 103.7 airs Courtney’s rendition of “Little Drummer Boy”. The single immediately becomes a listener favorite prompting KVIL to interview and air Courtney live during the peak of the Holiday Season.
- Invited to perform at the Konica Minolta Gator Bowl.
- Received a personal invitation from the Texas Speaker of the House to sing at the Opening Day Ceremonies of the 81st Texas Legislature in the Chamber of the Texas House of Representatives.
- Invited to take part in the Lone Grove “Tornado Benefit Jam” with country music star Chris Cagle. This event raised money for the victims of the Lone Grove, Oklahoma tornado.
Though her accomplishments are many, her greatest accomplishment of all is the loyal fan base she has acquired throughout the years. If the past is any indication of the future, look out for Courtney NOW!
